Esrom Bridge 01 (Moody Ford)

Called the Moody Ford Bridge. It crossed the north fork of the Spring River SW of Lamar on 60th road. This was the oldest iron bridge in Barton County. Completed in August of 1884 this bridge was built by the MO Valley Bridge and Iron Works Company in Leavenworth, KS for an estimated $2400. In 1999 Jerry Marti saved this bridge from the scrap heap and brought it to his property. Iron ID plate is on display at the BCHS.
